Something still isn't right. Unless you are super slammed which you could be that taller tire wouldn't make much of a difference. A 255/40 would still be wider and a lot of guys have run that same size rim out back with a 255/40 and right around -3
i am slammed.. trust me.. only real reason why im rubbing

You will be fine with no modification but those tires are small. Why did you go with smaller then stock? With only an 8 in the rear you can run a 245 tire on that set up without rolling the fenders. I would get some bigger tires 215/245 for sure. You are going to lose handling with that set up
When I went down to blank blank Tire I wanted the Enkei RPF1s that I saw on an NSX up in Boston Ma. My friend that worked at that shop called the wheel team (as he called them) and they told us, "That Was The Safest Size That I Could Run On The S2000" so I purchased them. As I was waiting for the rims to come in my other friend dropped his AP1 to the ground and we noticed that when he hits a big enough dip in the road he rubs (with me in the car) with his factory wheels? Imagine my surprise when I asked someone about lowering my car with my wheels (started my own thread at Honda-Tech lol) at Honda-Tech and they told me to come to S2KI that you guys would be more help. That’s when I realized that I was 2 years too late to be a trend setter (lmao)!!! I think that this thread should be a mandatory read for anyone who is purchasing an S2000. PS I am new here and found more info on this thread then I have in any other site about any other car. Cannot wait to see what else I find! S2kI, where do I sign up to donate you guys have saved me from one of my biggest headaches yet! Thanks

Whats the safest sized spacers we can run with stock studs? I need maybe a 3mm or a 5mm to get flushed in the rear. I'll be running 17x9 +45 in the rear.

Just flared my front fenders more tonight. 17x9.5" +38 with a 245/40/17 fits with about 10-15mm of clearance. Looks like im going to be doing 18x10.5" +15 rear with a 265/30/18 or maybe 275/30/18. Well see what I can fit after my boy is done working the rear fender.

I had a set of 17x9 +45 with 255s all around. Switched up to 17x9 +40 ce28s with 255s. I'm really thinking I'm going to ditch the volks and move up to a set of 17x9.5 +38 rpf1s with 255s all around I love me some rpf1s no matter how played out they are.

Last night I hit up Asia007's place for a little fender rolling session on S2k Medic's car. His fenders got got cheese'd and they needed a little love, but when you have the roller bolted on the car, ideas start flying... so the fenders where not just cleaned up, they where pulled and streched.

The end result was fitment of the 9.5+38 up front with 245s (no rub).

Here are some pics from the night:

Some before pics of the cheese'd fender:

After the roll and pull:

...and the money shot, 17x9.5 +35 w/ 245/40
