Hey guys, I just received my new set of RPF1's (17x9 +45 all around) two days ago, and can't wait to get 'em mounted and join the club. I'm thinking of getting a set of Sumitomo HTR ZIII 245/40 all around, but not sure if I'll have some issues with rubbing without rolling the fenders by having a little more negative camber, as the car is gonna be lowered an inch with eibachs.
Thanks guys!

Here's some pics of the wheels getting out of the boxes

I'll try to get some better pics soon.
congrats on the new wheels

can't wait to see them on the car!

got my 9 +45s.. wish i had put the 215s i had on the 9s but oh well..

17x9 +45 with 235/45/17 -2 degrees
17x9.5 +38 with 245/45/17 -5 degrees

i know the sidewalls on the rears are too tall.. but they rub like hell.. pics coming soon
Do you really run -5 out back? That setup should not require that much camber to fit. Should easily fit with -4 if your fenders are done right and probably even less.

I hope it doesn't require that much neg camber...

I want to run 255s on my 9.5 +38s with no more than -3 on the camber...

Possibly -3 or -4 camber depending on how much kai works yours fenders. I'm at -4 with a 245.

its cause the tire is too tall, but yes.. i do need -5.. with the 235/45 on there i had to run -3.. and im pretty flared in the rear

Something still isn't right. Unless you are super slammed which you could be that taller tire wouldn't make much of a difference. A 255/40 would still be wider and a lot of guys have run that same size rim out back with a 255/40 and right around -3

Hello all, Leave it to me to get to the party when everyone has gone home!!!
I wish I knew about this thread before I picked up my Enkei RPF1's!!! I have spent most of my Sunday reading all 133 pages or at least scrolling through it. I have found a lot of helpful things so I would like to thank you all.
But the answer I am searching for I did not find so please don't shoot..... Here goes yes I know after reading all of this I should keep my wheel size to myself (lol) I have purchased a Set of 17x7 Front and 17x8 Rear with a 45 offset all the way around and the tires are 205/50/17 Front and 225/45/17 Rear they are Yokohama S. Drives And I have noticed that Tire Rack sells them Both but not as a wheel and tire package something about the tire being too aggressive for my application (02 Honda S2000) So now I am stuck with this wheel and tire package and I do not want to modify my fenders or relocate my bumper screw. I would like to drop my car and without modifying any thing I would like to know what is a safe drop?
PS I forgot to mention that I am a heavy boy that’s 6ft tall Thanks for any input!!!
You will be fine with no modification but those tires are small. Why did you go with smaller then stock? With only an 8 in the rear you can run a 245 tire on that set up without rolling the fenders. I would get some bigger tires 215/245 for sure. You are going to lose handling with that set up
