Yeah the lug nut area is the only distinguishable area from which you could tell apart a +45 and a +38, you have good eyes!

For my setup questions I run kwv3 for track use. On my daily setting the car is kind of low and being soft i rub slightly on the passenger rear side only. This is ONLY because that side for some reason is slightly lower than the others, I need to fix that but my alignment would be out of whack and it does not rub on my track setting anyhow.

Also the 255 NT01 all around have a larger sidewall than street tires. So on street tires no, there is no rubbing, in that picture posted there is hardly any rubbing unless i am on super soft settings under extreme conditions (basically im flogging it through a turn just to try and get it to rub basically)

Camber settings are -3 in the front and -2.8 in the rear to fit them but they would fit just as easily without this much camber (again its my track car so I run the camber relative to heat in the tires and data not in order to get wheels to fit)

I used to run the volk wheels but after much debate, if I bent one I really wouldn't want to replace it. One volk wheel costs what a set of RPF1 would cost, so really for me, being a track junky - it was a no brainer to get them. On top of that I really love the size and the fitment. I think 9.5 +38 is just the perfect zone for these cars.
good to know! thanks. Do you have a j's camber joint or something similar up front to get that camber? I'm kind of thinking the same thing you are about the wheels. I'm not a huge track junkie but I'd love to get into it and I'm really iffy about tracking the volks besides they don't really save that much weight.

I've got a set that you might be interested in. They ar 17x8.5+40 & 17x9.5+38 win pretty decent fk452 rubber in 245/40/17 & 255/40/17. Not exactly what you were looking for but they have been great sofar for me. Hit me up if interested
Also :
the lip changes none from 17x7 all the way to the widest rim that they offer in the RPF1. the only thing that changes is that at 9"+45 the face goes flat or concave, the 8.5 is the widest you can go without going convex. (doesnt matter what the offset is)....
Thanks i totally did'nt think these wheels were setup that way. BTW you have a pm

squirtle, do you have any more head on shots or pictures that show how the tires line up with the fenders?

I'll try and snag em for you. The front fenders are rolled and pulled and Isaac (a member on the boards) does AMAZING work on this. I'll get a frontal shot and one head on for you
