Actually I am lowered aprox 2" with a conservative 1.5 - camber up front with 8.5 40mm back spacing with no fender modification needed. Most of which is becuase I run a 215/40/17 tire, but by the looks of it you could run a 225 or even 235 no problem as long as its not in a 45 series, then you will start to run into issues. If you give yourself enough finger gap for the suspension to tuck in as it compreses before reaching the fender then thats part of it, but more so having the side wall pulled in buys you allot of fuge room. You coud run 10 with 38 offset in the rear with just a fender trim if you run a small enough tire and your not slammed more then 2" aprox. I got the standard 17x8+45 with a 215/45/17 up front which is the OEM sizes and I dont have too much more room. I didnt want my front tires that much shorter then the rears. So if you have a 215/40/17 and a 255/40/17 rear your front tires are gonna be a bit shorter overall. But if I wanted to run a 40 series then it would be shorter in turn giving more clearance. I am running -1 up front and -2 in the rear with the rear inner fender lip cut out and no bumper tab

How much of a hieght differance does your fronts and rears have???

I see yes, well I have no difference in clearance front to back which is also important to me, and hard to do with the choices out there right now, but I have done allot of tire and wheel research. I am running a 245/35/17. It was a good find that not too many manufactures make and only one that I am aware of that comes in the all important twin polly side wall for stiff, precises handling and lighter weight. Running this size allows me to maintain some gear reduction as well with an over all diameter of 23.8, which works out to having 4.30 rear end instead of 410. The other tires after you get up to the 255 size get heavy and add taller gearing which sucks in a car like ours that doesn't put out any trq. After you go FI then it makes more sense, unless performance isn't a concern. The lower pro tires handle much better too. You can see my pics in my post a few back if your interested in seeing with this 8.5/9.5 looks like with the tires.

cool, just wondering how you came up with 4.3 as your ratio??? I know that a smaller tire will act like a higher gear but just wondering how you came up with this exact number.

And where the hell did you find a 245/35/17??? I was trying to find a 255/35 or 265/35 and it was impossible.

When I saw you ran the 40 up fornt that was my main concern that the height differnce would be alot but since you somehow found a 35 for the rear then they would still keep equal heights. Hook me up with some info for the next time I order tires in a few months

Sure i'll point you in the right direction when your ready for tires, yeah tire sizing is limited but every once in a wile I find a tire size thats an odd ball from most manufactures. You wont find a 255/265 in a 35, 245 is it that i have found. And remember the 35 is a % of the 255 for example, so as you go wider like a 255 vs a 245, you will also increase your diameter. If they made one, a 265/35/17 though wider would have a similar diameter to a 245/40/17.

As far as the gearing go's, the gear calculator is a fantastic tool.

Just select which car you have and mess with the tire sizes, match up the mile per hour for your selection to match up to your new gearing choice, when you get a match that is the tire size you need to get that gearing. If that makes sense. You will figure it out. You will find that the 245/35/17 works out to a 4.29 I do believe -4.30 basically. I had a 245/35/16 on my factory ap1 wheels for a gear reduction of 4.48. So thats why mentioned in previous post about retaining some of my gear reduction with my new wheels. It blows me away how many people will spend money on gears with no idea that they can experiment some with tire sizing, virtually a free mod! Thats all for lessons today class

It's my home grown specs Actually, I used what some of the non-stagger guys ran but went back to my old school drift specs. This car handles like my old hachi so I figured I'd try and go with a little more camber up front. I like it but with the fat front tires + the camber, you need to be able to handle the oversteer
