I want to pick up a set of 17X9 +45 all around. What is the widest tire I can fit without rubbing? Right now I'm on stock suspension, but I'm planning on getting some KW V3's. Does anyone here run this setup with a 255/40/17 tire all around? What fender mods would I need to do to make this fit without rubbing?

Thanks!

You're going to have to roll all 4 fenders...and it also depends on what tires you running some 255 tires are wider others. But you can't run this set up with our rolling your fenders and relocating the rear bumper tab.

atleast you can get away with just a roll.... i gotta cut out my rear fenders lol.... i tried camber and they still stick out too much for just a roll.... i dont like the pulled look so i went with rear over fenders

I alot people chose to roll the fender instead of cutting is because if you look at the fenders carefully there are two layers of sheet metal on top of each other and they are spot welded, if its cut it will remove the welds and possbile split the two sheet metal and open it up. Plus if you notice on the eauropean cars like the bmv and vw. Their rear fenders are factory rolled. I believe for those who cuts the fender to maximaize the use of over fenders, they cut and re spot weld.

I have seen decent about of s2k with rolled fenders, when its done right with the fender roller, heat gun and decent amount of patience. Clean rolled fenders can be achieve.
It's just not an issue cutting, its true there is a tack weld but the two panels are pressed together, they will not separate, i'm proof of that. Now I would imagine if your cutting on the outside for over fenders where there is no fender lip left to hold and maintain the two ply's together then you might see some examples of separation. I would much rather cut then roll from what I've seen locally, and hear frequently enough on the boards from others poor experiences with chipping paint. Cutting is just a alternative suggestion that works very well and don't hear it mentioned as much so i brought it up, it is something anyone can do themselves without dealing with heat guns and trial/error on a roller for the first time. Or I guess you could always pay to have someone roll and chip your paint. On with the wheels
