did you really need to cut the shifter?
i would think that the knob goes pretty far up


Yes, the shifter needs to be cut exactly as deep as the countersunk bore, or else it will not fit.

Do you work in a coal mine?

Lol not quite, I run a fabrication/powdercoating shop here in west Texas

Yea the pics did come out crappy, i just shot them all fast, ill post some clearer ones later.

well i had the ricks knob on there before and i really didnt like the shape of it...the throw feels the same as the ricks knob did, but i love the feel of the OEM knob...

Best of both worlds, really.

i did that on my old prelude and the shifter sitting SUPER low, that always looks good.

nice job. maybe better pics? i settled for the ricks vodoo countersunk knob.
