Pilot - nice coverage...
I was there on Friday with my little son ...we got to Javits 15 minutes before the doors opened (10:45) - when we got in the crowd was manageable - perhaps even relatively light - by Noon it was packed in there -
best way to visit the show is with working or press passes on day before it opens to the masses.

I'm "home" in NJ for a few days on vacation so we decided to go to the car show. Sorry for some of the blurry pics. It was hard to get pics of anything because there were too many people there. People look right at you taking pics and proceed to walk right in front of you anyway. We spent a few hours there and then left because I was ready to kill someone. I don't know why people bring their kids to these things and then let them romp around cars that they can't even drive like it's a playground.
Anyway, we are looking for an addition vehicle. Probably an SUV. Mainly, the Murano, Pathfinder, MDX, and X3. Looks like it's going to be the MDX. I also wanted to see the new Sky, Solstice and Miata. The Sky is nice and so is the Miata. The Solstice looks like a fat pig IMO and will in no way compete with even the Miata, nevermind the S2000. It looked decent in pictures, but in real life, it looks like any other Pontiac trash.
Oh and I gotta say that new Dodge SUV a few pics up from the bottom (Candy Apple Red), looks very nice and probably would be a player in our selection if it were out. Mazda and Acura also have some nice (smaller) SUV's coming out.

GREAT pix. The Solstice/Sky has too much going on. I saw a pic of the Nissan Sport concept in Autoweek - very interesting car, we'll see how the production comes out when they start going after the Scion crowds.
