Final Round
ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 3 eliminations in Pro FWD at the NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series, Nitto Extreme Performance NHRA Sport Compact Nationals:
W/L Driver RT ET Speed
(W) Nelson Hoyos (Bothwell Motorsports '03 Caval0.540 8.684 169.51
(L) John Brown ('03 Civic) 0.534 9.088 164.35
This one was close off the line and just as at Morose Brown was close but at mid track the Honda fell of the pace and Hoyos finally took a money round win light. A big puff of smoke and a sub 170 mph speed indicated that all was not well in the motor department but the GM team had their "daily double".
Modified
Final Round
ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 3 eliminations in Modified at the NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series, Nitto Extreme Performance NHRA Sport Compact Nationals:

Febus strapped a light on the Supra but the 300 ZX slowed early in the run as the Venom crew celebrated on the start line. Isn't a reaction time of under 0.500 running the red light? It just seems that Saruwatari's NSX didn't have a chance either way - 26mph slower trap speed! Perhaps he let off since he red-lighted? Or...is his car really that much slower? Or am I wrong about the redlight (sorry, drag racing isn't my thing)...
