New Seats
#15
Thanks, guys!
The PROs looked better, I agree. The red was shiney (leather), darker, and the bukcets look sporty. But the shape of the shoulder "holders" is much more beautiful and rounded on this seat. And this seat ix 100x more comfortable. To me, looks dont matter as much after being comfortable in her!
I think the bolts I used to connect the bar to the seat and bar to rail are pretty strong. I think Grade 8 actually. But what a b*tch to buy metric bolts at Home Depot!!

Those seats look better than the Brides. I'd take sport cloth over leather anyday. Too bad about them not fitting correctly, but it sounds like you pulled a McGyver and got them installed OK. Just out of curiosity, are these any lighter than the stock seats? I'd have to imagine simply because of the construction and covering. Of course you did load in about 40 lbs of steel with those rails.....

I don't even remember how much I got them for. But for the best pricing/service, call Garage112 in Portland, OR. They can drop ship these to you from JIC (Cali).
I would say my overall unit didn't gain/lose much weight at all. Seats seem lighter, but the sliders/rails are way more. Which sucks!!!
I just moved the seatbelt so that it goes over the shoulder again. I like the look of going through the seat, but it didn't line up well so it didn't pull itself back.
The fabwork was definitely dissapointing and frustrating... But I'm proud now. Not only for being the only ones with these right now, but that I actually accomplished something.
