Default New Seats

First off, let me say - WHAT A NIGHTMARE!

I bought some Bride PROs with Bride Rails. I didn't quite fit in them, so I sold them and kept the rails.
I always liked this set of JIC Magic seats, and read/heard they fit on Bride Rails. So I sold the PROs and bought the JICs. HA! Fit? Far from. The holes couldn't be further off.
So I went to Home Depot and bought 6' of steel bar. I cut 4 bars from it at 18'' and 2 were mounted to each seat. I drilled 4 holes into each bar. 2 connect to each side of the rail, and 2 connect into the seat. Bride rails aren't exactly low to start with, and this lifts me another 1/4'' or so. Doesn't seem like a lot, but I think it is.
ANYWAY, I painted the bars black, and bolted 'em up. Easier said than done. The slider doesn't really work for God knows why... But luckily it's suck into a position that's good for me. And there are no fitment issues as far as the door and center console/compartment are concerned!
Sorry for the rambling. On with the pictures. The red is suede, and the center has a black mesh over the suede, giving a polk-a-dot look almost. Shades don't really match, but they are comfortable, grippy, and look good IMO. Enjoy! All comments welcome.

And I'd like to give GARAGE 112 in Portland, OR a huge thanks for getting these. Great pricing, awesome service, and they know their stuff. I highly recommend them!

why did you route the seat belt through the harness hole? i think that looks awkward.

you need to be extremely careful on which bolts you put on b/c different bolts have different thresholds of breakage. for example if you were be involved in an accident with a heavy impact, your bolts could break and essentially seperate hte seats from the car. but coolness factor for having JIC seats in your car.

i think it's bc the seat belt won't retract correctly if he doesn't do that. I had to go through the SAME thing Waytth did when i had the brides in my car. I got into a semi-big head on accident and the seat held up like a champ. Btw waytth, does the seat slides only if you force it too? That's what happen to me too.
