Default My Mugen S2k gets carbon-fiber cavities

So I was driving at night when I see something jump out of a truck 100 yards from me. The object was tumbling around on the far right shoulder (I'm on the far left-lane of a 5-lane freeway) and you can see sparks flying everywhere. Thought I was safe until the object veered sharply towards my car. Next thing you know, I hear a loud thunk

I got home to inspect the damage. There's a discrete quarter-sized hole in my bumper as well as some damage right below the headlight. Everything else was ok. Despite the missing damaged fiberglass, the carbon-fiber behind the bumper remained intact.

Been meaning to repaint my car, maybe now is a good time

Were you able to get a hold of the license plate of the truck and flag him down? This happened to me a few years ago. A truck lost some of his load (PVC piping) and it scattered across the highway. Cars were hitting it left and right, including yours truly (cracked a trim piece on my Acura...f that...I ain't going through my insurance). I flagged that SOB down and got his insurance info and called the cops too.

Even if it wasn't his load, the trucker (or any driver) is responsible for maintaining a safely operating vehicle and clearly in your case, he wasn't. It could have been a lot worse.

Looks like carbon fiber acne on a smile bumper. LOL.

God I love the SS front bumper. Your car is so clean - saw it in person, absolutley amazing. Keep it SPA!

I was wondering about this...I'm considering picking up a Spoon Tai since my OEM front end got ruined by rocks. If thsomething were to do similiar damage to a bumper, can it be fixed and repainted...

..just worried about DD a 2grand bumper
