My hood idea
#21
Thanks for the positive words, and the negative too. Not everyone's taste is the same. But after completion, I think all the naysayers would also change their minds. I'll definetely post the progress.

how about a NACA duct off-center that feeds directly into the stock airbox?
I think it'd look fine. there is beauty in function.
throw in a few vents in the rearward part to remove heat and I think you'd have a great, totally functional hood. it'd probably be especially appealing to those who track their S.
I very much like your idea as well, with the custom airbox. I was just suggesting a cheaper alternative, one that only requires changing the hood and keeping everything else stock.

Here is a photochop I did of what my car may look like. This is CJB80's car photoshopped red (photo owned by bulletproof automotive). I just bought a Bulletproof front lip and I'm going to mold it into my front bumper like Chris' is. I'm also thinking about making a custom intake that would incorporate a NACA duct in the hood just like the 04 Dodge Viper's hood.
This is my first photochop ever, so be nice. I only photoshopped in the NACA duct, the color was done for me by someone else.

I had thought about one time...but seemed too complicated to design the correct size and would look a bit of a mess if you could not manufacture it perfectly. It would not have to be as big as the dodge one since the Honda engine is so much smaller despite the high reving.
