as far as spooling we are using some of the latest turbos on the market from Garrett which attributes to a very fast spool. You are correct with the hookup and diff. On both trubo s2000 there is considerable loss of traction and I did not hookup at the track until 76mph. Well, that will be solved soon. Hopefully, next year will bring some exciting track times. We are not building a dyno queen as most have done so far, we will be building another car strictly for the quarter mile...

If you find a cheaper solution then mine for the drive train let me know. I guess Chris hooked you up with a garret turbo. I had the Scratton Brothers Race Team Chief mechanic Manny work in my tune. He made me a very impressive map..

not really, my team and I have worked with Garrett for many years. We have some sponsorship on other cars through Limit Engineering who builds turbos with Garrett/Honeywell.
It will have to be an American Domestic differential that has to be swaped out. Chances are the corvette rear (pre 98) or ford 8.8 will work. The axles and shaft is easily made through the Driveshaft Company.
Scranton boys have been around a while with their turbo stangs and now celicas. They are top notch, first to have a 200 mph pass in the import scene I believe...

By the way I tried to do the 8.8 swap but the axles of the mustangs are shorter. That is good if you are going with slicks. You will have to back half the car wich it was done to mine already. but then I changed my mind and went back to stock. the measurements were off in height also. Good luck . I thing the corvette rear would work but it is way to expensive to do around here. My sponsor is my pocket!

Funny thing I noticed...I just bought that issue of Modified Magazine, and while I really dig the S2K, I couldn't help but notice this paragraph in that article....on page 37 it reads:
"Honda's 5-speed factory transmission is charged with putting all these ponies...."
5-speed?! WTH?
