It really shouldnt be that bad in the rain, its only bad if you completely submerse the filter in like a puddle, not THAT much water will be getting in through their directly in the filter. Love the look!

thanks for trying but all the money and effort honda went in to develop the intake just went down the drain.
now the hot metal pipe is going to suck down even hotter engine bay air
the headsoak situation is well documented, i made a datalogging test a few year ago and the number is exactly that.

I really like this setup. Feels and sounds great.
And for those questioning water remember it's quite simple to just put a hydroshield over the filter when it rains.

What are you using to hold the scoop to the hood? Would it add stress to the hood when moving? it made sense that it wouldn't with the lid since it was attached to the stock intake which is screwed in all over.

No stress so far.
The scoop is working out nicely... Even after hard driving I can lift up my hood and the piping+ filter is cool to the touch.
I'll be posting up a vid in a minute for anyone that wants to hear this setup.

It's fixed to a piece of plexiglass that I cut to fit the shape under the hood. The plexiglass is then fixated to the underside of the hood.
No stress so far.
