I raced an E36 from a 40 roll onto the highway when I was stock about a year ago, and he pulled a bumper on me in third gear and then it was dead even no pull all the way to around 120ish. I don't know if he was modded at all.

sorta back from the dead, but
nichigo, I'm sure you may be a decent driver, but telling people that have owned both an m3 and an s2k that they are wrong while you have mislead information as well doesn't seem too bright... btw.. m3 = I6 not V6..
I'm all for s2k's as they are great cars, I've got an e46 m3 and an MY05 s2k in the garage, the s2k being my brothers vehicle. I've had an extensive amount of time behind the wheel of both, and I've raced my brothers s2k with the m3, and I've raced the s2k against my m3 with me driving the s2k.
I'm stock besides an intake as far as engine modifications go and my brother is equipped with intake/exhaust/vafc and higher gears.. 4.77 I believe.. we've raced NUMEROUS times, off the dig, off a roll, you name it. 2 different cars, apples to oranges here..
We mostly raced up to the end of my 3rd gear, I believe an S would be in 5th with higher gears.. anyhow.. if you REALLY think a stock s2k, or one with mild NA mods can beat a stock m3, I have plenty of time on my hands

anyhoot...thanks for all the input guys...i hope no one takes this video as a standard because it definitely isn't. However it just goes to show that there's alot of room for driver input....it's not all about the car
the E46 M3 is faster hands down. HOW MUCH faster is determined by the drivers

so the whole driver thing making a diff is kind of a "no sh!t sherlock" statement.
