The majority of modified cars on these boards have been lowered in some fashion. Give the search function a try.

Most people will either use some type of coilover suspension but for springs only it would seem that the Eibachs, Espilers are among the most popular.

Here is a picture of my car lowered on comptech adjustable springs.

kg/mm is also a popular lowering spring used around here. Neuspeed springs will slam your car. Here's a shot of my car dumped on Buddy Club Racing Spec coilovers:

how well do you guys think the stock shocks would hold up with a 1" drop via comptech adjustable spring kit?

I am running Eibach and my stock springs. Ride quality has gotten a little less but all in all I am very happy.

I want to go with a coil over kit because I want to be able to gradgually lower the car, from .5" drop to maybe a 1.5" as it is my daily driver through the warmer months and i love in michigan (known for our wonderful roads)
