King rapes you on on pricing and shipping.
Go-tuning along with a few other sponsors can get Mugen products from King at a dealer discount and save you money by using their own shipping company.
I shipped all my Mugen brake parts directly from Japan using 3 day air mail and still saved about $300 verses ordering locally through King.
Authorized Mugen distributer doesn't mean sh*t to me as it offers no advantage.
If you receive a product that is defective or damaged in shipping as I did once they will not help out.If you're lucky they'll charge you a restocking fee and give you credit towards something else.
That's what they did to me when I receieved a Mugen wing that had resine crack on the carbon fiber side area.
with you 100%

i tried to order a sticker for a mugen intake

i called KING and said that they have 1 left, when i was about to order they gave me a quote for 55 shipped i was like what the hell why is it so expensive well the sticker cost 27 and the shipping cost 28.... im like what the fawk its only a fawkin sticker... then i hang up... FOR KING MOTORSPORTS

See, my experience with King has been different. They replaced two Mugen exhausts and one header for me.

All issues had to deal with brackets either breaking, or hangers coming off their welds. The only hiccup for me was that I either had to ship back the part, or drive it up at my cost...but they replaced the part and paid for shipping back to me.

I've also heard of them taking care of issues with CF hardtops, and Mugen hoods in the past.

I don't have any experience with issues with parts being damaged through shipping with King.

With that said, only one set of MF10's of all that I've owned have been bought from King.

Correct me if I'm wrong Luder, but doesn't King also warranty their products if you buy directly from King Motorsports? I'm shocked that King would not help you out with a defective part.

Back on topic, I can't wait to see this car finally. Any other planned Mugen projects besides your car and bike?

I couldn't beleive it either but it's good thing it happened.
After seeing what a piece of crap the Mugen wing was I'm proud to say that I'm the first person to import an ASM part into this country (the first gen ASM wing)
This was back in 2005 before I had even purchased the car or anyone knew what ASM was.
you sure you were the first? (I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just wondering actually) I bought my ASM intake and the ASM/Mugen Multivision Meter back in 2005

we obviously have similar tastes

Yeah,I'm pretty sure. They didn't even have the multivision meter available at the time
they had the multivision meter since 2004 via ASM and available from Mugen since 2004.

Maybe I ordered in 04 then.Have to dig up my receipt.
They didn't even have their own body kit or chassis braces yet. They were running the Mugen kit with the red strips and had the red Cusco strut bars

That sounds about right. I think that wing was available since late 2003. I remembered reading a Japanese blog (don't know if it was Toshi's) about the meter dated in 04. The blogger gave it a bad review and sent it back to ASM.

Here's King Motorsport's Mugen multivision meter in the Mugen Civic Si from Boost Magazine (Spring '04)

-Wing,leg stands, and side plates will be clear-coated carbon
-Fenders will be painted with the inner section that you can't see with the hood closed masked off to expose dry carbon
-Doors will be painted with the inner section that you can't see when they're closed masked off to expose dry carbon
-Mirrors will be clear coated carbon
-Front bumper painted with the mouth section painted flat black
-Rear bumper painted with the open exhaust section painted flat black
-All underside and backside areas will remain unpainted,unclear-coated dry carbon

Yes paint will add weight but it will still be lighter then painted steel, aluminum,or wet resin layed up carbon.
Unpainted carbon fiber over time will turn yellow if exposed to sunlight from UV rays. This also breaks down and weakens the resin so it should be painted, clear coated with UV protection clear-coat, or wrapped with vinyl.
for painting dry-carbon. Even I have a hard time committing myself to doing so
