Just modifed the exhaust for my bike
#11
i read somewhere that the shorter the exhaust is the higher pitched the note is? which is why alot of mid engined cars have the higher pitched exhaust note, because the exhaust has less distance to travel? any truth to this?

I dont know about the higher pitch yet, I let you know as soon as I actually ride it like that. Some exhausts on F4is sound high pitch even though they are pretty long, I think it has more to do with the design of the system not so much the lenth. And yes those are DB bars, I got the whole kit from HAI in orlando. I can build a bar real cheap and Im prolly gonna buy a cage because their not that easy to make.
Its soooo much fun. I should have done it years ago.

one of my buddies has some sort of motorcycle can mated to a very short exhaust on his S.
sounds very nice.
I'll see if I can get him to chime in.

I really don't know what to say about the sound. I was expecting my ears to bleed when I 1st started up the car & that is not the case at all.
The strange thing is that I had a T1R 63mm (dual) sparrow on it before & my wife like this one waaaaay better.

I remember when that guy posted that, It does look alot like a Micron exhaust from a sportbike, but I cant imagine any motorcycle exhaust being big enough. I measured mine it was 55mm but Its only a 600, Next time I pull a can off a 1000 or bigger I'll try to get a measurement. Can you take a sound clip of that exhaust? Id really love to hear how it sounds, maybe a flyby or two? thanks.
