Veilside, what is the difference between Gloss black and FLAT black?

I think the color im thinking of is a gloss black, some photos of the flat black look pretty hideous in general. Can you correct me in the color I am thinking of?

Im going off the pics of the flat black S15 posted on here. lemme see if I can find them, but for the most part it shined like the mercedes you posted.

I believe if im not mistaken you are looking for "Semi Flat Black" which is what i think that SLR is, although i could be wrong.

Flat black IMO can really only be pulled off by high-end cars.
