DIBS on the wing!!!!!!!!!!

I called dibs, nobody else did -- I'm suprised it didn't look worse for being completely submerged...

Screw dibs, this isn't the play ground. I'll drive to pick it up for a good price. I'm sure that many will still pay well for that 3-piece. Maybe the hood is salvagable too?

Sorry to here of your friends S Alex. After hearing about this, Jss2k, and genghiskwong, I'm starting to believe that the hurricanes are hitting just to take out all the S2000s. They're dropping like flies man!

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY DIDN'T YOU PEOPLE MOVE YOUR S2000S TO HIGHER GROUND?

Jesus, just the other day someone posted another trashed S2000 from Katrina. Its not like a hurricane sneaks up on you. I live in South Carolina and have all of my life. If a hurricane is out there, I sure as hell am going to know about it and I *WILL* move anything that I want to protect to higher ground.

This rash of S2000 abuse is unacceptable!!!

another s2000 that autocrosses with me...

...well, used to anyway

this guy lives no more than 20 feet from the ocean, with just a wood wall (seen in pic 2 with red mustang pushed through it) to protect the parking area from the elements

- water came from the rear of s2k...hence the mustang pushed through wood wall

Aww crap...

Well, most of the external parts on that NFR still look to be in good shape (headlights, front bumper, wing, hood). Also that intake I see through the hood vents is definitely still salvageable (as long as it didn't rust anywhere, and of course the air filter needs replacing). At least if your friend was going to buy another S, he'd still be able to use those parts...but after that ordeal, I'm sure getting another car is one of the last things on his mind.

And to those who are giving this guy shit about not moving his car to a "safer" spot, chill out. I'd think that when your safety is at risk, the last goddamned thing you should be worried about is your freakin car...but hell, maybe that's just me...

All in all, at least your friend was able to get away from the devastation, and live to tell the tale. The car and it's parts are replaceable, while lives are not.
