Looks like you were outdriving the vettes too
How did it go? And how was it betwwen the newer rims and tires vs the old wheels and tires?

It went well overall except I can't figure out the brakes on the '06. I had an '03 AP1 previously which was MUCH easier on brakes than this car. I suspect it has something to do with the brake assist (which doesn't turn off when VSA is off I assume) but the '06 overheats the brakes quickly.

For the wheels/tires, the car didn't really feel any more nimble with the AP1 wheels. The AP2 has enough engine to push heavy 18's with the same ease as the 16's. My AP1 would definetely feel slower on acceleration and transitions with the 18's I had on it compared to its stock wheels, YMMV. Tire wise I just don't think 225/245 is enough tire for the AP2 which in those pictures is pushing 3100lbs with a passenger.

Did you check your pressure and temps before and after on both sets of rubber? That may provide with some useful information.

Great pics! I can't wait to get my S2 on track this summer, there's still snow on the ground up here!

How many laps were the Michelins good for before losing grip?
