Default GPW S2000 w/ two tone red/black interior?

I talked to 3 different dealers and they all give me conflicting info. I've seen many members have this combo and I love how sick it looks!

This is what one said:

For the 2005 model year, the red/black interior combination was available in either silverstone or the sebring silver exterior.....the gpw was built with tan leather.

For the 2006 model year products, the red/black interior comes only with silverstone; and gpw only comes with black leather.

Can you guys tell me what years this was offered? Can I order an 2006 this way?

thanks,
rick

Interior looks like this:

both dealers are correct. that interior picture that you attached is only available on ap2 silverstone and sebring silver colors. 2006 is the only year that gpw receives all black interior. you can get red and black interior with gpw, but you'll have to resort to the ap1...which also will not look anything like the picture you attached. here's some helpful info in regards to gpw:

00-01 - red/black
02 - all red
03-05 - black/tan
06 - all black

A few people have converted their AP2 Interiors. You only need to change the seats, door panels, carpet, center tunnel trim, and the trim behind the seats. It can get pricey if go for new parts over the parts counter but Hardtopguy might be able to get you a deal, or just find it in a salvage yard. Avoid Ebay. The likely hood of the goods you find on ebay being stolen are pretty high.

Wow, thanks guys for the awesome info so fast!

That is exactly what I needed in terms of the breakdown

Looks like I might just get a GPW with the black interior and swap out the necessary parks. Planned on getting some red/black Sparco Monza's so this might work out nicely

Then I only need door panels, carpet, center console....hmmmm

I will drop hardtop guy a message.

Mucho gracias'

GPW with red/blk interior is what I have and I bought it stock like that.
ONLY AVAILABLE IN CANADA!!!!

I'm interested to do a swap with you if you want, I want all black interior and those new seats(without the headrest hole). my interior is in brand new condition...ie. I never knee on the seats and i get in/out of my car very carefully, plus, I took out the OEM driver seat and put in the Spraco Rev, so the driver seat is pretty much brand new. I condition my leathers every 2 weeks too.

let me know if you wanna do a swap, we are not that far apart

MC21: Your proposal sounds very enticing for sure and I don't mind doing the swap but was just thinking how we are going to do this?

I'm in northern CA and you are in Canada (at least a 16 hour drive).....

E-mail me some pics of your interior if possible. So we're swapping door panels, carpet, seats, center console?

I have all the tools to do this at my place in CA. The only realistic way I can see this happening is if we ship each other the parts?

let me know,
rick

He's not in Portland - he's Northern CA.

Still shouldn't be 16 hours. MapQuest gives me 14 hours from Vancouver to San Fran.

MC21: sorry for confusion but yeah I was thinking from my place in San Jose, CA to Vancouver....

I also have a home in Portland metro area as well and no matter how fast I drive it takes at least 9-10 hours from SJ to Portland.

Portland to Vancouver is another 5-6 hours depending on how fast you drive and right now I can't afford another ticket

Get me pics and we can figure something out.

GPW Red/Black is the best color combo IMO, next to Berlina and all red.
