that's whats hold me back personally. The muffler and tip are 304 stainless but the rest is just aluminized steel. This is pretty bad against corrosion resistance in the long term. It's not going to fall apart immediately but when most other use 304 I don't know why hks still uses it. Hi-Power 409 system. Piping is coated SUH409 s/steel cans are polished SUS304 s/steel.
Silent Hi-Power is far from silent. The name refers to the fact that they have managed to keep the sound level of the exhaust within the Japanese JASMA regulations and still manage to construct it completely out of SUS304 which usually resonates a lot louder.
Personally I prefer the Hi-Power 409 plus they are cheaper to buy.

race=KN filter, vafc, 70mm headerback
street=kn filter, vafc, berk tp, HKS Hi power

Just installed it this morning. It really does sound better in person! I do wish it was a bit louder- I'm going to see one tonight w/testpipe so we'll see if that makes an improvement.
