I thought that after a SC/turboed Impreza, SLR powered SLK and V8 muscle powered old 911 I saw it all....but this is just nuts!

thats absolutely sick!!! but the thing is, u dont need a huge turbo to make 550whp. a gt30R set-up, some cams and head work, and some tuning will get you there pretty safely. plus that gt30R has wicked spool up, so it's not like he'll be waiting forever for it. hell, an 8lb flywheel will help do the trick

i think the whole point is the torque curve. yeah a 500hp evo will make a lot up top, but w/ a supercharger to spool a bigger turbo faster, im pretty sure the torque curve is flat as hell.
