just got around to posting some pics of the trip to the gap earlier this month. such a fun stretch of road to drive. had a couple cars go up with me.

only hiccup on the trip was the road gator <peice of tire that i hit at 1am on the way home.

the first 2 minutes or so i was cruising to see if the wet road really was that bad, then i felt good enough to run it a bit more agressively and dropped to 2nd.

quick funny note, while at the gap, the thinner air is so apparent! couldnt even come close to vacuum 0. best was around -2 on the load gauge. worst was -3!!!!!!

You guys need to keep it between the lines, especially the WRX

yeah there is the one section where you can see far enough ahead to do that. but otherwise i respect the line. the wrx was a different story

Doesn't matter how far you can see in front, always keep it right of the yellow. Hope you guys enjoyed! THP was patrolling hard for a while, not sure how heavy they are up there now.

 

yeah first time i was there in 07 didnt see one police officer on the gap. this year in june saw a few! heck, in the video you can see one was on the gap during a straightaway. thankfully, the car infront of us pulled off to talk with him , cuasing all of us to slow for the car pulling off.

i call my driving on the gap spirited at best. i have seem so many though attack it like a race track. def on teh dangerous side of fun.

anywho, i am looking forward to going back early next year.

 

I started going in 04 I think and went 6 times with the Dragon meets and a couple times on my own. The past couple times I haven't gone because of THP and just feel like I'm pushing my luck every time I go now.

 

i like the black LM's and the shots of you rollin are pretty nice
