Just got back from another Sports Car Touring Day. Held four times a year, it's a time for owners of all marks to enjoy some amazing autos, company, and roads. Two events are single day, while two span an entire weekend with a sleepover.
Although normally filled with very challenging routes, yesterday's drive was a little more relaxed, culminating in a wonderful meal near sleepy Winchester, VA.
Yesterdays drive had one of the largest turnouts ever with close to 40 autos.
There were about six Vipers....
including a Hennessey Venom 650 (650hp / 650ft-lb TQ).
Two Lotus 7's
and two Series 1 Espirits (The '98 V8 that usually comes was having brake problems).
There were Supra Turbos, an RX7, an NSX and MANY Panteras.
We had a Testarossa...
as well as a 328. There was a gorgeous old MGB...

In addition, there was a gorgeous Aston-Martin DB2 racer that unfortunately had electrical problems and didn't make it off its trailer. Unfortunately, my camera was acting up so no shots of this amazing piece of metal.
Additionally, we had a beautiful Allard roadster.
Here's one more last shot....
After the day was over some of us headed over to Summit Point to watch the Woodbridge Kart Club burn up the track at speeds approaching 130mph.
Oh, and then I destroyed my second Back Yard Special front spoiler. WHAT A DAY!

Although I normally wouldn't consider a Falcon a "sports car," it's my understanding that the owner (not the frog) did run the car is a few early-to-mid 90's One Laps.
It is in truly spectacular condition.
