Console Cover installed
Well several people have expressed interest in how my interior mods have been going. I found a used console cover on the WTB forum. It is the current design from Ricks with the plastic clips that slide up underneath the vinal console. However, it was made with the S2000 logo, which is no longer available from Rick's. The sides are black perforated leather and the top is red. This is a perfect match to my car. The red matches beautifully (which is amazing considering I got the seats, door inserts, AND console cover from three different places!)
The instructions on Rick's site are very good. The only problem I had is that the wiring for my proximity sensor was tucked gently up under the OE console. I could not get the plastic tabs on the console cover to fit until I unsnapped the factory clips and put the wiring up higher under the console. It took me a while to figure this out. It was a PITA, but I think the results are well worth it.
Forgive my fingerprints on the radio door.
Lighting was very dark, so I might have overlighted a little. The effect should be pretty clear though.
