Do you have any other pics of your car yet?!? Or have I just missed them?
On another note, are you just going to leave a bare parting line between the chrome and the plastic, or are you going to run some sort of bead/strip between the two to further differentiate the two materials?

Hold on... It looks like you sealed up the part line on the outside of the covers, with no intentions to separate the two halves again. If so, don't you need to open them back up to re-cover the metal hoops underneath when reinstalling on the car? Or do I have it all wrong?

It is hard to tell from the pics, but the covers are still on the metal hoop assemblies. I had read how it was almost impossible to get them back on, and I wanted to eliminate the part line on the outside, so it would look like one piece.
I am still debating about what to do at the partline between the painted and unpainted parts. I am leaning toward getting some sort of rubber trim and running it around the seam. I have a couple of weeks to figure out what to do. Any suggestions?

. I'm guessing that's not feasible though...I'd suggest that you use something minimal: If you use a rubber strip, I'd do really thin. Maybe a metal rod?
Are you chroming anything else on the car? Side mirrors? Windshield header
?
