I don't think he's taught the kid stick... if you watch him playing GT4 he's using automatic

i really don't think the dad is forcing just helping. i really think the kid enjoys driving and racing and his dad is there to support him and take his kid to another level.

Its easier to learn things at a younger age. I know many 4-10 year old kids riding dirt bikes with manual gearbox. Car's aren't much difference.

I see what you're saying but to give my 2 cents, I'll share with you my pov.

1. The kid looks like he's having a blast out there. I'm only guessing, but if the kid were to tell his dad, "No dad, I don't want to freakin' race no more." I'm sure his dad would respect that and move on... or so we would hope.

2. I don't know about you, but when I was a kid, my dad bought me ninja turtles and x-men figures. If I had the option of getting what this kid got (gas powered kart?) and cone dodging fun, I think I'd know what I'd pick! Maybe you feel otherwise, and that's fine.

If the kid grows up to be great at the sport, and loves it, he'll thank his dad 'till the end of time. And if he ends up wanting to do something else, I don't think he'll be emotionally scarred for life, unless his dad is a freakin' dictator about it, which I doubt.

He just loves his kid, and that's great.
good point! i do agree and yea i had batman n N. Turtles! hahaa i always wanted the HOT WHEEL cars or wahtver that moved off a battery...u know those 4x4 wrangler ones most of the time hahaa. btw, what is POV?
