Vacumm bagging draws air out of the part and holds the fiber/resin in place while it cures!

so its just a better method than to paint the resin on the fiber which is on a mold? so all it does is it reduces air bubbles and probably makes it all uniform right? but its not really necessary?

i dont know the first thing about making these thigns. i sent them out to this place and they took care of them for me.

im pretty happy with the way that picture turned out. i cant wait to see them when they get shipped back to me.

yeah I guess it would defeat the purpose of the whole CF thing but hell i just did it cause ive never seen it before and i think it looks good. besides most of the cf hoods weigh the same if not more than the oem hoods.

yea, that's why they still are heavy, when I had my fiber images hoods for my civics they only had a fiberglass outer under skeleton and that was it, all CF. Most "cheap" CF hoods use more fiberglass.
