Default Can't wait!! Volk Gt-C wheels arriving on Monday!!!!!!!

I just can't wait!!! My brand new Volk Gt-C wheels are arriving at my home on Monday. They are silver and have a polished 2" dish and are two piece. 18x7.5" and 18x8.5", both wheels with 50mm offsets.

I went with Falken Gr-Beta FK-451, 215/40/18 and 245/35/18. Thanks to Phanton (Tim) for all his help! I hope the 215 will be adequate on the front (Noticed somebody else is going to put 225's on their 18x7.5 Volk's). I got my wheels, tires, Volk lugnuts and shipping for only $2690 total, mounted and balanced! I thought that was a pretty good deal. Didn't get the centercaps yet. They may not fit anyway.

What do you all think of these?

I'll post some pics on Tuesday with them on the car (don't have a digital cam yet. Have to go the old fashioned method!).

Later!

Very nice! Haven't seen those before. I would definitely consider getting those, but perhaps in 17". Are they available? Did you get them from Godspeed?

Nice!
You sure it has a 2" dish/lip with the +50 offsets? Don't think that the pic is what you're going to get. Most manufacture wheel pics are wheels with low offsets so they can show the nice lip on the rims. I'd be very surprised if you actually do get a 2" lip with +50 offset.
I guess we'll wait and see on Monday!
Make sure to take good pics when you get it!

I just called Mackin Industries about these wheels (cuz I was curious about them too), and they told me they only have 18x7.5 with +50 and 18x8.0 (eight) with +50.
Are you sure you got 18x8.5 with +50??? Just wanted to get the confusion cleared.
Thanks!
BTW, they are all sold out for the next two months on these wheels!
Good job on getting them early!

Socal28.......sorry for my delay in responding. I've been busy working on my car (painted calipers, cleared the headlights and installed a J's N1 exhaust)...... amongst the tasks of everyday life in the 21st Century!

My wheels arrived on Monday morning all perfectly packaged with a plastic wrap covering them. I unpacked them and checked them out. They are SOOO sweet! I looked at the back wheel and to my astonishment, they said 18x8". What???? No 8.5"? I flipped out! Was ready to call the dealer as I'm sure he told me they were 8.5's. I emailed Tim (Phantom) about whether the 8" was ok and he said to me that I'd be fine. I might have trouble fitting 255's, but I likely won;t do this anyway.

I installed the huncentric rings and bolted them up, and they fit perfectly. My car is lowered about 1.5" with the KG/MM DR21 Race Springs. What I can tell you is that:

1. The tire and wheel look perfect together. The rim protector built into the tire just goes over the edge of the rim, therefore, protecting it.
2. As my fender stands righy now, I definitely could NOT fit a 255/35/18 on the wheel without it rubbing the fender. It's really tight as it is. If I got the fender rolled, that would give me a little bit of room though. There doesn't appear to be any rubbing at the moment.
3. The wheels look even bigger than 18"!!!
4. The 'dish' on the rear wheel measures 1.5" from the outer edge of the two piece join. The front wheel has a 1.25" dish.

I'm going to wash the car tonight and then take some pics in the morning. I'll take the camera to the one hour store and post the pics Friday.

I guess I was lucky in getting the wheels when I did! They are awesome (IMHO!). Wait until you see the pics. I honestly wasn't sure about them when I ordered them, as I hadn't seen them fitted to any cars. And, I was almost certainly going to get the Superleggera's, but I'm happy that I got these! Just tonight, I went to Radio Shack, and as I was parked, this 17-18 year old kid in (his mom's) Grand Cherokee walked up to my car with his little brother and just stared totally googly eyed at the front wheels!

Bling Bling!

Cheers,

Volk-Rays Engineering makes some of the best looking wheels out there. Lightweight too. Great looking wheel. I have the GT-N 18"
