Comparing a premier German engineered performance sedan to a NASCar race car is not a compliment to the German car.

That said, the M5 is bad ass.

It sounds good, but not how a M5 should sound. A M5 should sound like a F1.
it would be kinda hard for a street car with a redline of 8250rpm to sound like a Formula 1 car, which idles at 4krpm wouldn't it?

The current generation F1 cars are electronically limited to 18.5krpm during competition.

I wouldn't say it sounds bad... it just sounds the way the M5 engine should sound...

an F1 car sounds the way it does, because the only thing coming out of the motor is a pipe w/ no muffler. the rpm, displacement, timing, compression, etc make the sound.

SICK M5!

lots of people want F1 sounding, I guess this exhaust (Kreissieg, $6k) is the closest aftermarket one for the M5.

i like the rowdy exhaust. pull up to the fanciest restaurant and hand the keys to the growling surging beast to the valet. he'd pay you to park your M5

Take a wild guess what the min-wage highschool kid is going to do with your 90k car or whatever it costs?
