i personally like the oem tan carpet as it makes the interior as a whole more "mercedes-ish"/classy. but if your tan carpet was jacked and stained, i can see the black as a replacement option as it would be 10,000 times easier to keep clean.
btw, did you break all the push-clips that hold the sides of the carpet and center console vinyl?
a little plastic interior tool kit for 6 bux from harbor freight kept all mine from breaking.
the tan carpet wasnt bad but i think the black carpet evens out the color contrast... i probably broke about 2 clips altogether i havent put them back in as you can see in the picture... thinkin about getting the passwordjdm carbon fiber center console
Just finished installing black carpet in my GPW with tan interior... thanks to airwick219 for the carpet... let me know what you guys think (sorry for the cell phone pics)
Looks great! What year did that black carpet come out of? Im wanting to do the same thing! Looks really "black" usually the black s2000 carpet has more of a dark grey look.
