Default ASM Siren Circuit Exhaust Clip

I posted lots of technical data and answers to questions when this was originally posted in the JDM Tuning section but that thread was deleted for no reason by the forum moderator so I'd like to share it here.

A little bit about the exhaust:
ASM went with a completely new design approach than the S-Special series. The Siren Circuit Exhaust utilizes 4 resonators to eliminate harmonic overtones in the 200~300Hz frequency band for a pure sound. Designed to achieved a unique siren sound and comply with road standards. The exhaust is nearly the same as stock during normal driving but really opens up with a very clean and well tuned sound when you give it some throttle.

ASM exhausts are designed by the same ex-Mugen engineer that pioneered the helmholtz resonator and twin-loop system on early Mugen exhausts. This design was later adopted by Honda for the OEM S2000 exhaust which all utilize a helmholtz resonator along with 2 twin-loop mufflers that are semi-enclosed. This design theory has been taken to the next level on the ASM Siren Circuit Exhaust.

Here are some pictures and sound clips!

There wasn't a quiet street available so here is a very poor drive-by clip

How much does this exhaust cost again?! $3000.00 USD? Badass exhaust, but it's nothing a Hytech twinloop cannot do. What's the power output with this type of system?

Yes, we all recognize it's expensive, especially for a Stainless Steel exhaust system. It's definitely not for everyone but there are those out there that are willing to pay for it. It's not surprising that this exhaust is simply too expensive for American market, that is why we do not stock them. However, ASM Japan sells hundreds of these a year where it's be pretty hard pressed for us to sell even a few.

Let's try not to turn this thread ugly, there were a lot of people asking for sound clips of the exhaust and just sharing what we've collected during one of our visits.

Japan has very strict sound regulation so it was designed mainly for sound quality. It does gain some power but it is marginal as with almost all S2000 exhausts.

btw, nice camera setup, I have the exact same equipment minus the 40D "lens carrier". Most people think I'm out of my mind for buying such expensive camera equipment and think all I need is a Rebel and a kit lens.

Thanks for posting this, as I've wondered what it sounded like. I've read the descriptions of it, but it's another thing entirely to actually hear a sound/video clip. Very nice!

Yeah, it definitely shows with your pictures of touring around Japan. I love them and enjoy every thread . Thanks for yet another enjoyable thread!
