Here are some pics of when the chassis came back from acid dipping on December 12th.
This is how the chassis left to get dipped....
This is how it looks right now
Ivan working on removing some of the unnecessary brackets from the chassis.
One down...plenty more to go!
Here are some pics of the progress of the vehicle. Ivan and Shane have been doing an AMAZING job at shaving the weight off the car!

As of today ( 01-22-09)
Here are some updates of the most recent progress on the build. Ivan, Justin, Shaun and the 2 Shanes we have here have been kicking some serious butt on the project and I can't wait till the project is finished!
Now for the pics
Ivan gutting the front door
Progress on the roll cage
Ivan the surgeon
The front door on the car
More progress on the cage
The driver seat mocked up in the car
Swiss cheese FTW!
Ivan and Shaun re-installign the front subframe to check for clearances.
Stitch welding on the chassis
Body panels making their way back to the car for clearance purposes
Ivan working on the front release handle
More Stitch welding...
The finished door release/handle

Glad to see you guys shaved some bacon off that pig, that would have been my first priority on a build too. Looks good. Think you can make it as light as a prepped S2K?

PHUCK! Dammit, after sitting in an MR about a month ago, I've been trying so hard to convince myself that I DON'T want to buy an Evo X. But your pics (and the great work you guys have done) is making it REALLY fukking hard to resist the temptation. Ughh.
That ride has definitely come a LONG way. Good job!
