I actually like it. If you're into vehicles that turn heads on the street, I think the 350Z is a good choice. I must say, the car looks very different in "real life" as compared to photos in magazines and press releases. If anything, I would suggest it looks better "in the flesh" than in the said articles.

I dunno...the only one of those numbers that grabs me is the torque. The hp/weight is pretty close to the S. The part that bugs me is that, IIRC, they've got a 3.1 L engine in there that is standard in other Nissan cars. How bout pushing the performance frontier a little bit guys? That said, I'm still gonna test drive one just as soon as I can. The styling irks me only because that roofline is pure TT. Well...and the fender flares seem a little...abrupt. Maybe I just need to see one in person...

Both

It doesn't look great in these pics, but I don't beleive in judging 3d objects in a 2d picture. The verticle blinker on the front bumper will take some getting used to. But overall I suspect the proportions are fairly (fairlady?) compact which will make it look quite good. I like how the greenhouse is quite small and sits atop the body. Also, the accent line across the door is very nicely done. The way the rear window clashed with the c pillar is a mess though.

I'll reserve judgment till I see one tearing it up on the street.

I would NOT recommend judging the new 350Z by the photos posted above.

This is one of those cars that does not photograph well from certain angles. However, in person, the car is a "head-turner" and is definitely HOT! I saw it in the flesh (sheetmetal) at the NY Autoshow, and it looked awesome. If the fit & finish, and performance are where they should be for a car with 280 Hp, the new Z will be a great vehicle to own. . . In addition to a S2000.

Usually a car has the smooth curve look or the blocky squared off look. This has both. I'm confused.

Any idea if a convertible version is in the works? I like the design ... its different and not just another car on the road.
