I rebuilt a 600RR w. my buddy from a major wreck. Spent 3 months doing it only to have it wrecked again the first nite out. Got rear ended.

Sucks to hear man... At least you got to walk away..
I crashed my 600RR under a truck and broke its differential, I couldn't correctly use my arms for over a month... It's the result of my "smart idea" of popping wheelies as a noob and riding without the proper gear and just a t-shirt on... So I would consider you super lucky... glad that you're ok and still posting...
