Aren't they TTing the 3-series because of the fuel economy? getting more mpgs and etc.?

Nissan's NA V6 makes as the same power as BMW's I6 TT....
The VQ series engine is a 3.5L though, as opposed to 3.0L in the Beamer...just to be fair. The VQ series engine is a SUPERB engine design as well, and if Nissan/Infiniti could ever get direct fuel injection technology integrated, you could likely see their numbers jump into the 330-340 range N/A.

they twin turboed the inline six because of weight, a optional v8 with same hp numbers would have been an option but weight a good 2-300 lbs more, theres an article in car and driver. bmw had had past turbo models and they were verywell made ie. 750 turbo

Supras have inline sixes with two turbos and we all know what that led to. Freakin' massive power. I'm excited for this one.

Is this model going to make it to the US market? I heard from someone that it wont make it to the US market. But anyways, the car looked so much longer comparing to the seden. But a 3.0 TT from bmw, who dosn't want it. The rear look a little bit like the 7 series though,\.
