I'm not sure, but there seems to be a lot of makers that make this style of hood. So I don't know the original name. On top of that I haven't taken a look at many hoods closely. I don't think I can give you a good evaluation of if my hood is "good" fitment or not. I'll just say that I'm happy with it, and the gap isn't big enough to bother me currently. There's a small gap on the side.
