if it was rear wheel drive id understand that... but its front wheel drive and doesn't have enough power to really break the wheels free like that... wow.. that's interesting

It also looks like the guys with the camera didn't stop to help out....at least it looked that way from the video.

Good point. I want to note a couple of things. The title of the video is "Dumbass in riced out civic.." which I find to be derogatory on the filmers part, and I agree with jaykkub that not very honorable citizen-like to not offer and help out. From the looks of it, the Civic attempted some sort of lane changin manuver at probably 60+ speeds, started to lose control, pulled left and hit the brakes...

Yes the civic appears to be modified and the civic, not a s2k or the s4 (since hat would have a different reaction such as "oh my gosh... that beautiful/fast/expensive/favorite adjective.. car) crashed. This is unforunate. I know people with S2ks, NSXs, S4s, Lexus's AND "riced out Civics" that have crashed their cars, yet the group that receives the least sympathy is always the poor 17 year old kid that dumped close to combined 30 gs of his parents money, and his hard-earned Taco Bell money into his Civic with body kit and GSR engine. This I don't believe is correct. Most people on this board, if they posted that they had a wreck (eg not afraid to admit mistakes) we'd have some sympathy based on the attitude portrayed. As far as the Civic trying to race the S4 - why not? Let the S4 prove it's worthiness , I know more than a couple of Civics around here that run low 13s all around and spank my s2k... until we get past 130.

Point being: We should give due respect to fellow car enthusiast because a big difference is the size of our checkbooks.

Civic: 10K base, S2K: 30K base, NSX: 70K Base, Ferrari: 90k base...

End of Rant.

well, we always need someone or something to pick on, someone has to be at the bottom, or else we wouldn't feel like we were cool and better than everybody.

I've been there and done stupid things as well. Wrecked my car showing off, etc. I feel for the guy. I learned a lesson and hopefully so did he. He was lucky like I was and it looks like no one got hurt.

Now that I saw the video again, it appears that the black S4 sped up to the civic's right side which explains the sudden brake light before the civic swerves to the right. My guess is that the civic wanted to turn right, didn't expect the S4, whipped back to the left, and lost it What say you...
