I disagree. I only rub in the rear on bumps. I have 18x7.5 front rims with 225/40R18 Nitto NT555 (rims are 50 offset) and they simply don't rub. On the rear I have 18x8 rims with 255/3518 NittoNT555 tires. They only rub against the plastic inside wall of the rear bumper cover.

Larry, you know how bad my car rubs, you saw my front fender
I think it's because the bigger/wider wheels and tires, also the H&R coil-overs are too soft. If you look at pictures, the space between the tire and the fender is as much as yours if not less. Your Tein should be harder than the H&R, plus I drive in NY all day long

That's true... You have 245's in the front though, don't you?? And I'm pretty sure your front rims are wider than my rear ones! LOL But I think the main difference is the stiffness of the Teins over just the springs you installed. Just my opinion though. I'm thinking about having the fenders rolled out a little... anyone out there had any experience with this?

Yah, I'm running 245s in the front. I do have the full H&R coil-overs but the shocks' stiffness can't be adjusted.

Regarding 18" rims, I'm running HRE445s, 8.5 front, 10 rear. Centers are painted Spa Yellow, like nevertoofast. The car is not lowered and no rubbing with this set up, but the techs at HRE suggested a 1/2" to 1" drop that would be no problem. The wheels fill the wells nicely and it appears a slight drop was made. The grip with the wider tires is noticeable. Acceleration may be slightly affected, but is not significant for spirited street use (omitting the drag race scene). I can't post a picture, but if someone could do it for me, I'd be happy to share a view of another "hot rod". BYW: some of you guys are really too sensitive....

Bazaar your car looks good. Bit i think that with an inch lowered it will look incredible... I have a suzuka blue S2000, but with 19" HRE 549, and i did lowered it with H&R springs ad i have no rubbing. Front is 8.5 back is 10.5 in mines....So i dont think that yours will rub.

Ccarnel, I came very close to purchasing your Kinesis wheels a few months back, but I got a great deal on the HREs. They are powdercoated Spa Yellow direct from HRE. Offsets are +52 front and +62 rear. HRE also got me a deal on a set of Pirelli P-Zero Nero (225x40, 265x35). The tires are definitely quieter than the S-02s and the added grip is confidence inspiring. I got to 'break them in' at the Fall Colors and was very pleased with their performance. The lugnuts are reflecting the wheel color. I wish I had thought to 'chrome yellow' the lugs. That would have been a nice touch.

SC-Suzuka, I'm thinking of installing KG/MM Sport Springs for a slight drop. Going to wait until I wear out the stock set of shocks since I want to replace the parts at the same time.
