I understand the logic regarding the pull resistor etc.

I just don't understand why they (AEM) have all these features avalible but don't enable them, or tell you that they are or arn't enabled.

C6 & D7 should be labeled the same in my opinion then. Which they are not. Ones "0-5v in" the other is "0-5v in jumper set"......... Yet they are the same thing.....

Anyway. thanks again for the reply it's much appreciated

My guess would be that C6 does not have a jumper to a pull-up resistor. I think you are looking at it the wrong way, having these jumpers is an added bonus if you don't mind using them. It's not that it is disabled, it's just that you must pick one or the other, and most hook up 0-5volt sensors. I think it might be nice to have one set up for a pull-up resistor out of the box.

I agree it is an added bonus if they could be set up via software. The fact that you have to open up the ecu and do it manually is crazy... And that then invalidates any warranty you have.

Does anyone know what pins we need to add the wires into the factory harness, pins A7 and C6? On my AP2v1 the pins that work on the AEM "D" plug don't work in the factory "A" & "C" plugs.

May just go grab a couple wires out of a harness at the local junkyard.... really don't want to have to wait on yet another delivery.

Edit - Nevermind, forgot about the white plastic locks on those plugs. Of course the AEM pins work just fine.

Average Joe post seems to agree with the instructions included so I though I didn't need a resistor.

This is the diagram included (same as yours except it shows the resistor in the ECU)

Thanks for all the help
Regarding the talk of whether or not you need a 2.2K pull up resistor wired in outside the ECU....doesn't the instructions above state more or less that the sensor needs a 2.2k pull up resistor?

It says: Typical Pullup Resistor 2K2 ohms

I think it's a typo and should say 2.2K ohms.

2k2 ohm is the same thing as 2.2k ohm, it's just a shorter way of typing it and very commonly used in electrical contexts.
They should have used a small k though since K is usually used for Kelvin

Yes it does. I was askin why it does.

It's acting as potential divider.

To bring back an old thread... do I really have to ground the oil and pressure gauge to the aem ecu or can I just ground it to the chassis?
