Ok. After much head scratching and googling, I have finally figured the oil temperature out. I now have oil pressure, oil temperature, wideband, and SOS 3 bar map sensor hooked up to my Aem Series 2 and in turn, hooked up and reading correctly on my Serial Gauge. The oil temp was by far the hardest one to figure out as it requires a resistor to be hooked up in order to make it work. You have to use the resistor as a bridge between the temp sensor wire, and the +5v wire of the pressure sensor. I drew up this diagram below to help people out. I know I am not the only one that has had a hell of a time figuring this out, so hopefully this will help.
Using this wiring, your temp sensor will be seen as ADCR11, and pressure sensor as ADCR14.
And, here is a link to my serial gauge file so people can use it as a reference (or just use it if your setup is the same). It reads 3 bar map sensor, oil pressure sensor (0-150psi), oil temperature sensor (-40 to +302F), Coolant temp off stock sensor, and AIT off stock sensor.
Using this wiring, your temp sensor will be seen as ADCR11, and pressure sensor as ADCR14.

With my wiring, it is seen as adcr11. The voltage reading is working perfectly, if wired exactly as my diagram shows...
I am using the aem temp sensor.
However, it looks as if you use c24 as the sensor wire (instead of c7), you might not have to use a resistor. It would then be seen as adcr13, which looks to have the pull up resistor built in. Thank you for pointing that out.

good stuff. I have a very similar setup. I have a aem series 2 with 2 gauges. I have an aem digital boost gauge and a aem serial gauge. I have the Omni 4 bar map sensor. I also have the aem inline wideband and aem boost solionoide wired in to the ecu. The serial gauge works great at reading the air fuel. I plan on buying the pressure sensor and temp sensor and doing what you did.

Yes it does, you have to program that yourself though. My 3 bar is set to read -15 @ cell 0, and +28.9 @ cell 255.

Thanks for posting this. You and AverageJoe have reduced much of the stress coming from setting up AEM EMS/sensors for the...well...average Joe.
I just bought my oil temp sensor and serial gauges. This came at the perfect time, thanks again!
I will go read and reread this thread and AvgJoe's thread thoroughly, attempt my install, and then probably come back to this thread to ask what I did wrong and why it's not working.

This thread is great but I am confused on what sensors I need to buy to get my AEM series 2 to read oil pressure & oil temp. Also, where is the best to mount these sensors? I am in the process of rebuilding my engine & the pan is off. So, if it is suggested to put the oil temp sensor in the pan, let me know.
I found this sensor on AEM's site. Is this what everyone is using?
