Default Wideband location.

This will probably be the final deciding factor on whether I go test pipe or high flow cat.

Is it ok to install a wideband O2 sensor on a TP? I know the stock narrowband location is near the collector on the header but I was wondering if there would be any diff between installing in the two locations.

Any comment would be great!

sweet. How about another question... is it OK to install a wideband right before the substrate of a cat... ie. Berk High flow cat?

I noticed there was at least 2" of tubing after the flange b4 the cat starts on the berk high flow cat

thats the only place i'd put it if i were going w/ a high flow cat. just becareful not to damage the honey comb in the cat, even an impact from a small fall will ruin it.

also try to keep the sensor vertical on top of the pipe to help prolong its life.

Mine is on the test pipe about 4 inches from the header flange. Could not mount straight up due to lack of clearance, so it is at about 11 o'clock. Works fine.

O2 wideband sensor is on the left. The O2 sim (CEL fix) is on the right.

Would it be bad to install the wide band O2 sensor after the cat in the exhaust pipe? I want to keep my stock cat and am trying to figure out where the heck to mount the wideband O2 for my Greddy kit.

Thanks guys

If the greddy down pipe does not already have a bung in it, just weld one in. Ideally the wideband sensor is close to the exhaust source as possible and does not have a filter (cat) in the way.

Now i'm thinking of just getting the berk high flow and having them add an extra bung on it before the cat...
