Default Whos got tuning experience with nitrous?

Whats a safe afr on nitrous? Im at 10.9-11.3 afr on pump gas and 110 octane. Can i go a little leaner? Maybe close to 12.1 and still be safe?

12.1 is still perfectly safe. Thats about what I have mine tuned to. More like 12.2

Most LS1 and 4.6 2V guys go for low 12 AFR numbers. Sometimes higher if they're feeling froggy.

Thanks, I'll lean it out with a smaller jet and see what the afr is.

But im still running a stock ecu and stock timing on a 75 shot, thats why i was wondering if 12.1 would be safe.

Do you know how to properly read spark plugs? All I could run on a stock ECU before the timing mark on the ground strap was on the threads was a .038 nitrous jet. I had that running at a 12.1-12.2 AFR on the run. I don't know what nitrous jet your 75 shot is so I can't tell you.

Reading your spark plugs right after a run will tell you almost everything you need to know.

Are you pulling the plug right after a nitrous pull with no idling time? Thats the main thing.

If you feel comfortable to bump up to the 75 shot with where your timing mark on the ground strap is, then go for it.

with those AF you can lean out a bit..between 11.8 to 12.2 you should be fine. Are you planning on staying with higher octane? how many degrees are you retarding? what is the plug gap and cold rating?

Im runnin stock timing on pump and 110 octane with a .035 gap. I pull the plug right after a nitrous pull, i wouldnt spray more than a 75 shot on stock timing though. And i have ngk number 8's 1 step colder.

sounds good..you might go with a smaller gap. I usually find around 0.28 to work well with the shot you are using.

I used nitrous a lot on the s2000 many years ago before changing over to turbo. I use this badboy on my Jeep SRT8 and works well:
