Being SOT I dont have the big FMIC but doo have a full opening heat exchanger for the A2W intercooler

so for reference

Data from Talladega Gran Prix Raceway June 6th 2008
minimum of 20 minute run groups
93 Deg F
Humidity varied 50-60%
At the end of the 20 min run prior to starting the cool down lap where one would expect water and oil temps to be at there maximum
Oil was just a little over 110C
Water was just a little under 90C
Mugen thermostat/fan switch/cap
IATs never went higher then 20 degs F above ambient

and i highly doubt that turning the ac on while crusing will cause the temps to go 25-30 degrees higher(according the gauge cluster bars not aem) than when the car was at 14lbs at 8500 rpm and 95' ambient temp in the shop..... and my temps never got over 205-ish at the highest point.
It can if you go over the cooling capacity of the radiator with decreased air flow from a hindrance like a large Air to Air intercooler. What size intercooler do you have and how have you installed it? The temperature drops when you're at highway speeds right? It's only at low speed and idle in very high temperatures that you start to see the temps increase?

^nope. it only increases when i turn on the ac or have the headlights on(according to the little bars).

it can idle for 20 mins and never go over 8 bars. or i can go out cruising at 60 and turn the ac on, and sure enough, up to 9 bars and then back to 8, then 9 constant. turn the ac off while cruising, and back down to 8.

so i think the bars are off like joey was saying, because the bars and my actual temps through the aem are FARRRRRRRRRRR off.

If it is getting messed up because you turned on your lights, then it is probably an electrical/grounding issue. The A/C will pump out a lot of heat, and when you've already have a decreased efficiency in flow due to the intercooler, its all thats needed to push the system over the limits. Its personally happened to me with the increased heat this summer unfortunately!

I think yours is reading a tad low.

There is no way, in the summer that we are having, that your radiator fans have never turned on especially in stop and go traffic.

OP, your car should be running 190 - ~205F ideally. Never any hotter but could be cooler depending on how fast you are going / ambient temps / etc
my fans are on a lot, either Evans set them to come on earlier or????????, but my Coolant (according to what I am reading on EMS) is around 180F,

Water wetter FTW , haah I dunno, I guess it reads low

^copy that. the ic is only 3" thick and the end tanks dont cover the corners of the bumper mouth opening. the ic is mounted right up against the factory grill.

so i thought of something that may be a simple mistake on an observers end:

when you go out(AP2 guys) and your car has been sitting overnight(totally cool), and you turn the key to on, is one orange bar lit up already on the water temp gauge?

if so,
then my readings are directly on point, because i WAS NOT including the first bar on Modifry's chart, and according to Modifry its just a base LED. so really im at 8 bars TOTAL(178) and it will climb occasionally to 9 bars TOTAL(190-ish). so that means all is PERFECT.

http://www.modifry.com/products/ect/ap2.htm

someone go check if their car has been sitting for a while if 1 bar is automatically lit!
