What gear to tune EBC, or what gear is most prone
I pretty much have my settings were I want for my EBC, I tuned it in 5th however every now and then I do get SPIKING for a fraction of a second when I do some 4th gear pulls. Based on our gearing/engine load I know BOOST tends to rise the higher the gear/speed of the car but do those who use EBC, what gear do you tune your car in.
The problem is I am spiking but it is happening so quickly that I never see it displayed real time on the EBC display, however it does show up in my PEEK BOOST display and I know it only takes a fraction of a second to pop a motor/and or HG.
The limiter function does work, however it is never activated, I guess because the spike occurs so quickly?

Dude I wouldn't worry about a spike for a quarter of a second. SC guys run 14psi or whatever from like 8-9k rpms for a quarter second as well without problems.
With the internal wastegate your never going to get it perfect. Consider yourself lucky with just a 1psi spike

Thanks John haha I know I drive myself crazy, I mean it spikes to quick I cant even read it on the LCD, and I have the warning set at 12.5, and it doesnt go off, so I guess I can live with a millisecond spike
