Default what clutch to get

I will be transforming my car into a e85 beast in the next few months, looking to make around 700hp, my question is what clutch should I go with, I was considering the carbonetics twin carbon clutch, but thought I would ask what the high hp guys are using, I currently have the cc sprung 6puck, stage 4 I believe. I don't think this clutch can handle the new power level, so what are the big dogs using?

Carbonetics is a great clutch...I believe Jacko has one for sale in the FI for sale forum.

Stay away from any carbon disc material clutches for the street. They wear out very fast and you'll be changing discs frequently. Although, they are a very smooth clutch.

Call LJ at Full Blown and get the CC twin. Its very affordable at around $1300 or so and is a great clutch and wont wear out like the carbon discs. Its what I run BTW. You will have to convert from a pull type to a push and the clutch comes with everything and good instructions, but dont worry, its very easy.

How is the CC twin to drive? I would guess it has harsher engagement than a sprung 6 puck...

oh wow 1300 is way better than all the other twins I was looking at, most were at least 2000, I really like my cc now so I think I will go with their twin, how does it drive spoolin? chatter?

The engagement on the CC twin is comparable to a sprung 6 puck single from what I can tell. The only thing that makes it difficult to get used to is the engagement of the CC twin clutch is near the floor because it changes from a pull type (stock) to a push type. Once you get used to it though, its really nice. The CC twin is a really nicely made clutch and you can see that just by the machining work on the parts.

Matt, there is some clutch chatter when you push the pedal in, but thats typical of any twin.
