Hey Cody,

Is the pump that I'm getting from you basically a plug and play? Or do I have to do some wiring to make it work? Also, should I worry about the problems that we are hearing about on here with this pump you're supplying me?

Chadd,

If you're getting the Walbro, I wouldn't worry about it. It still flows good, besides, it is the only one out there. I'm just being anal about idle fuel pressure.

If it dips once the fans come on it's an electrical issue. Your battery maybe winding out. My pump dips about 3psi once the fan comes on at idle but gets back up pretty quickly. I'm using the small hawker battery though.

My battery did die once before though from having the key on for a couple of days without driving it, maybe I need a recharge

Ok, I finally verified it after some datalogging, the usual battery voltage at idle is 14.1v, that is when the alternator is giving juice. Then when the big fans kick in the voltage drops to 12v because of the current draw. Fuel pressure drops an average of 5-7 psi, due to the lower voltage to the Walbro, and then goes back up to where it was when voltage reaches 14.1v again.

I verified this effect both with my Synchronic regulator and the Comptech FMU.

My voltage is about the same. It is always between 14.1-12.1

Another comment for walbros defense I used the 255 on my civic (pictured) for 3 years reaching >100psi fuel pressure at full boost with no problems at all

*That's a fuel pressure gauge reading from the fuelrail mounted on my hood*

fuel pressure drops on the S2000 after 8000 rpm, because I believe that the 2.0L and extra 1-2k rpm need more fuel and injector open time than your civic. Although, air fuel ratio is good.
