Default Vortech V3 Kit

1) I'm looking at getting a Vortech kit but whats the difference between the AP1 and AP2 kits?
2) Can I run an AP2 kit on my AP1?
3) What will I need and will I need to run oil lines from anywhere?
4) If not then how does it cool itself and what is the maintenance?
5) Will stock injectors work with the kit?
6) Will I need new headers?

pretty sure the only diffrence between ap1 and ap2 kits was really the pulley setup.

buy a new kit and it comes wiht everything you need.

buy used, just make sure it has everything, and on stock 7psi boost you will not need anything else.

V3 kits are self lubed, V2 you need to tap the motor

The control boxes are different and so are the sc pulleys. Ap2 has the extra injector on the aftercooler.

^extra injector on the aftercooler????????

do you know this for a fact? because there was a post recently of a guy who found a 5th injector clip on a used s2k he had that was supposedly "all stock". this would explain a lot and also tell him it was vortech'ed at one time or another.

Did some searching and the only difference I can see from looking at the parts list is this:

AP2 kits come with a 50in belt vs AP1 kits come with 51in belt. I called Vortech to verify and to be quite honest, I don't think their rep was very knowledgeable. The first thing that came out of his mouth after I asked my question was "What do you mean AP1 and AP2?" And just started naming kits and prices when I asked a very specific question.

Different pulley size, different belt, fpr is adjusted differently. but thats it. ap1 guys like the ap2 kit cause they get more boost out of it.

i already asked comptech all those questions before i decided on my route to go.

supposedly the ap1 kit for the ap1 gets the least power, then the ap2 kit, then the 06+ kit gets slightly more than the ap2 do to the reflash and more accurately dialed in tune.
